Italian sub sandwiches

Thanks to my co-worker Shelli, we have found a new family favorite to add to our list of dinners we like. This is an inexpensive twist on the philly cheese steak sandwich. We really enjoyed these sandwiches and to make it even better Kasey purchased hoagie rolls from Curtis Bakery. (They are the same people that supply the rolls to the local sub shop Tom's deli...yum!) Try it out and let me know what you think!

Italian Sub Sandwiches

1 1/2 lbs. ground beef cooked and drained.
1 onion diced
1 bell pepper diced
1 Sm can mushrooms or I used two rather large fresh ones
2 Sm tomatoes diced
1 Sm can diced green chile's
pepper and garlic salt
1 C. Mozzarella cheese grated
1 C. cheddar cheese grated
Hoagie rolls

To the cooked ground beef add all of the ingredients except for cheese.
I drained off any extra liquid, then add cheese until melted. We toasted the buns with a little butter and garlic salt. To the toasted buns load up mix meat mixture and add a little extra cheese if desired and enjoy! (They tend to get a little soggy so toasting the buns really helped or use a crusty bread.)
