Emilee's Daddy Daughter Date

In an effort to give our children more one on one time with either myself or Kasey, we have decided to take action! Kaiden was first and was able to spend some on one with Kasey. They of course went and played basketball. That was great! Something they both enjoy, and best of all the cost was free! Emilee was next, and for about a week she knew that her time was comming. The anticipation was killing her! They headed out friday evening, they had talked about what to do, fiesta fun, go get ice cream? However to Emilee's amazement Kasey drove upto the "Bear Mill" for those that aren't local it is like the "Build-a-Bear" franchise. Emilee had been wanting to go there quite badly so she was beside herself. They had a great time despite the help there and after 40 minutes of trying to figure things out themselves, they triumphantly came out with a frog named Amelia, who crocked when you squeezed her. Kasey had no idea how much she would be attached to this frog but it is stuck to her like glue when she comes home from school. (She also claims that because of Amelia she no longer has bad dreams, which I am happy for, now we all can sleep through the night!) As a parent we sometimes lose sight of how much these little things to us, will mean the world to a child! It was money worth spent!, and an event neither of them will forget for a long time!
